Viola-tion Blog: Episode 1 - What Lies Ahead Just To The Back Of Us
Hello All! Well, it's finally happened. It wasn't enough for me to harass you good people on social media and/or in real life, now I've gone and made a blog. "But...WHY?" you may find yourselves asking.
What cruel, merciless god-demon-beast would allow for such a thing to befall the whole of humanity? Was it something from a past life? Is it because of all those times you promised to change your ways if only the universe saw you through one hard moment, only to go back on your word mere days later? Should you give more bums money? The cause, man, the CAUSE!?!?!?!? Well, truth is, I find myself with copious amounts of downtime while on the road, and I'm often asked about my misadventures and thoughts (and even more regularly offer them up voluntarily with no requests or provocation). Also, I've grown tired of talking to just the 4 walls of my car.
So, for those just discovering this and me, let me tell you a little about myself and what to expect here. I'm a national touring stand-up comedian, full-time slinger of wit, part-time philosopher, and every third Tuesday, a doer of westernized yoga that I invented myself, mostly made up of uncomfortable positions to sit in while watching YouTube.
This blog will be many things. A place to talk about my travels, a forum for whatever is kicking around in my head, and an open place of ideas and discourse overseen by an ironfisted tyrant with a delete key aimed at whomever he so chooses.
There will be articles, occasional videos, and quite possibly, 3 or 4 posts before it is quickly left abandoned like so many Anglefire sites that have come before.
The name of the blog, for now, is Viola-tion, a dreadfully clever play on my name (I'm Mark Viola, by the way), and the suffix for creating abstract nouns. For all I know, it just may be the next big thing. It may also be the end of days, so let's get these stupid thoughts on the internet before time runs out.
As of now, there is no regularly scheduled program of posts, I'm just going to get at it as I do. Let's hope this is the start of something grand. Or, at the very least, something that generates enough hits that I can start ad-enabling my site so as to annoy you while I make literally dozens of dollars a month off the web traffic.
